Terms of Use
Last updated: September 12, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of rvfieldmanual.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site
RV Field Manual is an independent editorial publication providing buying guides, comparisons, and explanatory articles about recreational vehicle systems, components, and equipment. It is not affiliated with any RV manufacturer, component brand, or retailer.
2. Acceptance
By accessing the Site you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or are using it under the supervision of a parent or guardian; that you have read and accept these Terms; and that you accept our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.
3. Use of our content
What you may do
You may read the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may link to our articles from social media, email, forums, or your own site. Attribution is appreciated; a link is enough.
What you may not do without written permission
- Reproduce, redistribute, or republish substantial portions of our content, in any medium
- Use our content for commercial purposes, including republication on another site or in print
- Frame or mirror the Site, or present our content as your own
- Scrape the Site, or access it with automated tools at a rate that degrades service for others
- Remove or obscure copyright notices, attributions, or source citations
- Use our content to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or to build a derived dataset for that purpose
4. Intellectual property
The text, diagrams, compiled data tables, page design, and underlying code of this Site are our property except where otherwise indicated, and are protected by copyright and other applicable law.
Product names, brand names, model designations, and logos belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and editorial purposes. Their appearance implies no endorsement in either direction.
5. Product information, and what it is not
Specifications on this Site are drawn from manufacturer documentation, retailer listings, and published technical literature, and are cited to their source. We take care with them. We do not guarantee them.
In particular, we do not warrant that:
- A specification is still current at the moment you read it — manufacturers revise products without changing model numbers, and listings go out of date
- Price, availability, ratings, or shipping shown by any retailer are as you will find them
- A product will perform as its manufacturer describes
- A product will fit, or be compatible with, your particular vehicle
Measure your own rig and read your own manuals before buying anything. Recreational vehicles differ between manufacturers, model years, and floor plans, and dimensions that appear standard often are not. Cutout sizes, clearances, door swings, plumbing and duct connections, electrical service capacity, axle and hitch ratings, and cargo capacity are properties of your vehicle, and only your vehicle's documentation and your own measurements can settle them.
6. Safety: this is not professional advice
Articles on this Site are informational. They are not installation instructions, service procedures, or professional advice, and they do not replace your vehicle's manuals, the appliance manufacturer's instructions, applicable codes and standards, or a qualified professional.
This matters more here than on most sites, because RV equipment involves propane and other fuel gases; combustion appliances and the risk of carbon monoxide; 120-volt AC and 12-volt DC electrical systems; lithium and lead-acid batteries, which can vent, burn, or release hydrogen; and towing, where hitch selection, weight distribution, and load ratings determine whether a trailer tracks or sways.
Work in these areas should involve a certified RV technician, a licensed electrician, or a qualified gas fitter as appropriate. Never exceed a manufacturer's stated rating for a hitch, an axle, a tyre, a battery, or an electrical circuit. If an article and your vehicle's documentation disagree, your documentation wins.
7. Affiliate links
The Site contains affiliate links, principally to Amazon. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains what they are, how to recognise them, and the rules we hold ourselves to. Purchases you make on another company's site are a contract between you and that company; we are not a party to it and cannot help with orders, payments, shipping, returns, or warranty claims.
8. External links
We link to third-party sites — retailers, manufacturers, standards bodies, other publications. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability, or their privacy practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, and without any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RV Field Manual and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site, your reliance on its content, any purchase decision made on the basis of it, any error or omission, or any damage to your device.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RV Field Manual and its operators from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. Corrections and takedown
If you believe content on this Site is inaccurate, or infringes your rights, tell us through the Contact page with enough detail to identify the material and the problem. We investigate every report and correct or remove content where warranted. We would rather be corrected than be wrong.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, where the operator of this Site is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of residence.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
